My hometown, Malacca wins UNESCO world heritage status

I am very proud to hear that my hometown, Malacca has made it to the UNESCO's World Heritage List.

The World Heritage Sites in Malacca covers:
>> St Paul’s Hill civic zone with St Paul’s Church, Porta de Santiago (A Famosa) fortress and Stadhuys complex,
>> Residential and commercial areas of Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock (Heeren Street), Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Walk) and adjacent streets, including Harmony Street, and
>> The Malacca River.

So now state government need to put necessary efforts to make sure this world heritage city status will remain with us, if possible, forever. It will be shameful if we lost the status only after a few years of attaining it.
